Candlemas, also known as the Feast of the Presentation of Jesus Christ, commemorates the presentation of Jesus at the Temple by Joseph and Mary. It is based upon the account of the presentation of Jesus in Luke 2:22–40 and is celebrated every year of February 2nd.

Presenation of the Cross at the the Solemn Liturgy of the Lord's Passion.  This Mass commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary.
